- ➤ America Travel Agency in Salinas is fielding calls from customers stranded in Mexico due to cartel violence that is blocking roads and access to airports. Maria De Jesus Munoz, who was scheduled to return Monday, says she will stay home until it is safe to travel. KSBW

- ➤ Crews are working on the FORTAG project's Canyon Del Rey Segment in Del Rey Oaks as they excavate for a sewer line and build a new bridge; Carlton Drive between Highway 218 and Work Avenue will remain closed until March (emergency access is provided via Quendale Avenue or Highland Street). - ➤ On Saturday, deputies and CHP officers helped a person at risk on the San Miguel Canyon Road overpass in Prunedale around 11:34 a.m. and pulled them from the railing when behavior changed, with crisis services placing the individual on a 5150 hold for evaluation at Natividad Medical Center. - ➤ The city is planning mixed-use affordable housing in Chinatown along Soledad Street after purchasing several lots with a $1.5 million grant; existing structures will be demolished to make way for the project. KSBW
