  • More than 150 runners gathered at Northridge Mall on Sunday morning during the second annual Santa Con to run 5K and 10K races, raising nearly $7,000 for the Salinas Police Activities League (supporting youth programs).   • The forecast shows increasing rain in Salinas, with light showers expected Tuesday and Wednesday and heavier rain plus gusty winds in store closer to Christmas. Residents should prepare for changing conditions.  KSBW

  • Eli Dukes ran nearly 2,500 yards + scored 37 touchdowns to earn The Monterey Herald's Offensive Player of the Year honor. His standout performance in Palma highlighted his talent in local sports.  Monterey Herald
