ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 20-year-old man from Greenfield sustained minor injuries when his black 2017 Infinity Skyline caught fire on northbound Highway 101 near Airport Boulevard in Salinas Sunday night (the CHP said firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze that spread to nearby vegetation) as investigators have not yet determined the cause. - ➤ Monterey Bay Auto Spa is working long hours to prepare high-end cars for Car Week and will run 18-hour days over the next ten days—this is their fifth Car Week and the event brings in 40% of their yearly profit. KSBW

- ➤ On Monday morning, CHP Santa Cruz pulled over a Ferrari Testarossa that was speeding nearly 30 mph over the limit in a construction zone along Highway 1, and CHP Monterey later stopped a silver Ferrari for speeding during heightened Car Week enforcement. KSBW
- ➤ A Salinas man — Carlos Salinas Jr. — was sentenced to 11 years and 8 months in prison for using 3D printers to make illegal guns and sell them to gang members after police found his printers, dozens of firearms, ammunition, and cash during searches in 2023 and July, and he pleaded guilty to 10 felony counts.
