- ➤ CAL FIRE responded to a vegetation fire north of Salinas near 6000 Old Stage Road that threatened a structure and burned two to three acres with the potential to grow to five acres—two engines and a helicopter were dispatched. KSBW
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Paul Flores, convicted for the murder of Kristin Smart in 2023, filed an appeal Monday in the California Second Appellate District asking to have his conviction reversed or reduced to second-degree murder due to alleged trial errors including the judge's refusal to remove a biased juror and the admission of uncharged rape incidents—attorney Solmon Wollack says these errors denied Flores a fair trial.
