- ➤ CAL FIRE rescued a diver — who sustained non-life threatening injuries — at Weathers Cove in Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, south of Carmel on Sunday afternoon as medics assessed him. KION

- ➤ Seaside Police said that after 10 p.m. all fireworks are illegal as a 10 p.m. curfew on safe and sane fireworks (those that do not fly high and are sold at roadside stands) has been in effect through July 5 since June 28, and they are using dozens of cameras, microphones, and drones to track illegal firework activity after responding to four calls in the past 24 hours.
