- ➤ Salinas Valley’s The Reservoir is a 40-acre farm just off Highway 68 that will launch later this summer as California’s first on-farm incubator combining robotics and crop testing. In September, local growers will plant specialty produce while robotic tools and startups test innovative farming techniques — the project will create 500 ag tech jobs over the next five years with training from Hartnell College.
