  • Monterey County Supervisors voted Tuesday to draft a permit for a one-year parking moratorium near Bixby Bridge to address traffic safety issues as summer approaches — officials plan to begin enforcement in July once Caltrans issues the permit.  Monterey Herald
  • Fire officials reported two small grass fires broke out Wednesday in Monterey and San Benito counties, causing a brief traffic slowdown near Highway 101.
