- ➤ This week, crews installed forms for a bridge abutment and wing wall along Highway 218 as part of the 1.5-mile Canyon Del Rey Segment of the FORTAG project in Del Rey Oaks. The work will help create a 28-mile paved bicycle and pedestrian trail connecting local parks and preserves. Monterey Herald
- ➤ Big Sur Fire is asking hikers to help locate Ruger, a friendly German Shepherd mix that went missing Friday at Cienaga Camp (15 miles from the Pine Ridge Trailhead) after a helicopter extraction startled him during a medical emergency; two search teams hiked Sunday and may head out again today.
