- ➤ County supervisors are debating a mandatory spay-and-neuter ordinance to cut pet overpopulation in unincorporated areas, with some advocating for it and others cautioning about costs and scarce vet care. The proposal will be discussed on April 20 before a May 12 review. Monterey County Now
