- ➤ State leaders have announced that sport salmon fishing on the Central Coast will reopen on April 11 while commercial fishing will begin in May — a return that benefits local businesses and fishermen who have waited since 2022. KSBW

- ➤ Local nonprofit Read to Me Project will expand early literacy programs into remote areas of southern Monterey County.
