  • The California Public Utilities Commission awarded the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership $463,644 for three Connected Communities Hubs projects to bring free broadband access to Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties.   • CSUMB said its KAZU radio station faced technical glitches after its relocation amid campus housing updates, with issues like dead air and unsynced feeds.   • Samantha Torres scored in stoppage play to lift the Salinas girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Oakdale in the NorCal DIII final, sending them into the state title game.  Monterey Herald
