- ➤ CSUMB teacher Jose Pablo (JP) Dundore-Arias was honored nationally in the 2025 Excellence in College and University Teaching Awards in Food and Agricultural Sciences, receiving a $2,000 stipend to improve his students’ educational experience as announced by the USDA and APLU on Jan. 22. - ➤ In January, doctors at Kaiser Permanente Salinas highlighted pap smear screenings and the HPV vaccine (which also protects against six cancers) to prevent cervical cancer. They advised parents to vaccinate children from age 9 and recommended screening starting at age 21. KSBW
